This Mother’s Day (May 12) WRAPS is delighted to bring to the HUB all the way from the Gold Rush Era of Barkerville the wonderful “Mrs. McGinley’s Gold Rush Variety Show”!
This show is described as “exciting, humorous and edifying. A variety show set in the 1860s based on the traveling theatrical troupes that traveled the Cariboo road to Barkerville. Presenting a wide selection of material, from country to operetta, from folk songs to poetry”.
“Mrs. McGinley’s Gold Rush Variety Show” is set in 1869 and features songs, dances and comedy suitable for the entire family – from ages 3 to 103! It will take you back to the heyday of Barkerville in the 1860s, presenting the kind of entertainment the miners enjoyed on the local stage. From farcical comedy to a poignant song from home to rousing dance numbers, “Mrs. McGinley’s Gold Rush Variety Show” will bring a smile to your face and get your toes tapping with the high energy, dynamic performances from our talented professional troupe.
