Have you attended any live theater lately (especially those put on by WRAPS) and felt that you too could see yourself on stage and having as much fun as all the the actors are? Are you just waiting for the opportunity to unleash your inner Olivier or Streep but just need to know where to start? Well do we have an opportunity for you! WRAPS is pleased to present DRAMA 101!
Come spend 2 days learning some basic skills for on the stage – everything from the initial audition to the final curtain call! We will examine tips for successful auditioning, voice work, movement, character development, and so much more. Learn who does what – from stage manager, producer, director, props and so on. These exciting workshops will be lead by local actress and director extraordinaire Mavourneen Varcoe-Ryan!
Here are just a few of the concepts and basics of dramaturgy that Ms. Varcoe-Ryan will introduce in order to get you ready to “break a leg” at your next (or debut) appearance “on the boards”!
