Hold onto your (deerskin) hats! WRAPS is delighted to have the marvellous good fortune of being able to bring the award-winning musical-theater farce “Holmes and Watson Save the Empire!” to Ashcroft this October!
Holmes & Watson Save the Empire! is a family friendly, hilarious musical mystery by Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner. This two-actor exciting musical stars Damon Calderwood and Gordon Roberts (the fearless duo from Billy Bishop Goes to War), accompanied by Chris Robson, guitar, vocals, actor and Renée Bulat, violin.
Once again the fate of the British Empire lies in the hands of the greatest crime fighting team in literature. Holmes and his faithful friend Watson have until midnight to solve the fiendish Moriarty’s deadly puzzle. Where is the QV2? What is Victoria’s secret? How on earth did Holmes end up on the stage of the Gaiety Music Hall? Who is the mysterious Nightingale of Nuremburg? And why is Watson wearing her dress…?

WRAPS will be presenting two performances of this outstanding event. An evening show on Saturday, October 1st followed by an afternoon matinee on Sunday. Tickets and other information will be made available soon, so stay tuned to this website and our Facebook page.
And come November, WRAPS Community Theater (who most recently brought you the wonderful “My Fair Lady”) will be presenting the classic comedy play “Arsenic and Old Lace”. We may call this autumn the “Season of Theater” in Ashcroft.
