A message from the organizing committee of Ashcroft Plein Air 2017
We’ve had our first Plein Air meeting and have confirmed the dates for next year. Ashcroft Plein Air will be May 26, 27 and 28, 2017. Mark it on your calendar. We’ve made a few changes from previous years, so wanted to give you the scoop.
1. This year we had to turn people away as we had hit our limit, but we also had people say they were coming and then not show up. So, we will have a first come, first serve policy this year, with payment being required by May 1st. We will have a waiting list, and anyone not paid at that point, will not have a guaranteed spot.
2. We have decided not to do billeting this year. Feel free to contact your past billet yourself. We are working on getting a group rate at one of the local motels. We will keep you posted on that.
3. We’ve changed up the meal schedule a little after some feedback from artists. Friday night will be a light supper (with wine, of course). Saturday will feature a buffet lunch from 11:30 to 1:30. This will allow artists to enjoy the evening light instead of having to pack it in to come to dinner. Sunday lunch will be served from 12 to 1:30pm. With the art show and sale starting at 3pm. (a reminder that this sale is a non commission sale, and that you are responsible for dealing with buyers directly.)
4. A big thank you to all of you for having your art hang-ready. It saves us a lot of time and makes hanging the show a lot easier.
